April is a great time to visit Greece if you want to beat the holiday rush. It is often easier to find flight specials to Greece during this month. International Monuments Day on April 18 is the perfect excuse to see as many Greek museums as you can fit in, as no entrance fees are charged on this day. Greek Orthodox Easter sometimes falls in April, or May. Airfares to Greece as well as domestically tend to go up at this time, but the colourful Greek Easter traditions, roast lamb and red eggs are worth it!

As April is an unpredictable month weather-wise in Greece, it is best to pack a mixture of clothes. Some warmer items will be useful, but there will also be beach days when swimwear and light clothing is best suited. A light raincoat may also come in handy in Greece in April.
